Paint and Hike is the creative journey of Tammy Nara. She is a hiking artist and art teacher based in Minnesota, USA. Her drawings and paintings combine representational line with layers of abstract color. She enjoys using watercolor and acrylic to create responses to the natural world. Experiencing and protecting the natural world is important to her.
“We have so many choices about how we impact the world. There are so many urgent needs. I am working out the puzzle of how to spend my time so that I take care of myself and do what I can for others. I want my art to motivate others to be their best selves. The painting titled, ‘It’s a Sign! Volunteer’ is raising donations for the Superior Hiking Trail Association. If you have been waiting for a sign that it is time for you to volunteer for a cause you believe in, this is it! Go do it!”
