This park is in my father’s hometown. It is surprising to me that this was my first time there. It has miles and miles of just the type of trail that I love and it is not far from my current home. Others have told me multiple times that I would like it. I do not know what held me back. My first time there was in October of 2021. Now I have hiked 20 of its miles and plan to continue to explore.
Here is their winter trail map. Over 7 miles of “packed” snow trails are in blue. Plowed walking trails in orange. Don’t hike on the green trails in winter, use cross country skis instead. Purple is for snowmobiles. I appreciate that each type of outdoor recreation has its own space. To see the detail better, go to the pdf on the Washington County website.

I appreciate that they offer Full Moon Night Hikes. The next one is January 2, 2026 at 6:00PM.
Summer map is below. Over 20 miles of hiking trails and a wide range of landscape types to enjoy. This map is available as a pdf on the Washington County website.

The maps below are sample hikes I did in the summer. You can create a route that is as long or short as you like.
